From: Stephen Jaros, '67 912 sunroof Coupe, New Jersey; Father had car shipped from Europe in 1968 (European version). He drove it exclusively to work in Los Angeles, Calif. for 20 years. Engine died and car became too much for him so as he was going to sell it, I had it shipped out to New Jersey where my son and I restored it from 1990 to 1994. It now lives comfortably in my garage, is driven on nice days only and will be passed down to my son some day.  Still original color, used for concours; Interests - Events, Touring, Technical, Restoration, Show

Michael Sawyer's '68 912 in CaliforniaFrom: Michael Sawyer, '68 912 Coupe, California; purchased the car from a 356 collector in Scotts Valley who went through the car from top to bottom. What he did not paint, coat or cad plate he cleaned and painted to match original. I was going to Northern California over a weekend to look at a couple of 912s my friend had lined up. He is active in the 356 Registry and at one of their monthly breakfasts he asked around if anyone knew of a clean, original 912 for sale. This was a day before I was to arrive to inspect other cars. "The Tangering" was the second car we inspected and I bought it on the spot. This is my third 912. I owned a 67 Bahama yellow for 22 years and knew I had done the wrong thing as I watched it drive off with its new owner some years ago.  Since then I had a 69 Irish Green that remains in the Registry with its new owner. In addition to the “Tangerine” a 68 912, I have a 70 911E and a 74 914 track car. Are we really owners or are we guardians of these fine little pieces of engineering and craftsmanship? Used for touring; Interests - Events, Touring, Technical, Restoration, Show, Rallies, Autocross, Racing

The Gaulrapps and their 912E while in New HampshireFrom: Registry Member Ed Gaulrapp, 912E, Virginia, USA:  Picture was taken early October last shortly after I purchased the car from the previous owner in Woodstock, VT.  It was in an antique store garage at the end of the store. He had owned it since 1987 when it had about 19K miles according to the records I have.  So he drove it less than 10K in 20 years as it had about 28,600 when I saw it.  The additional mileage until it reached my home last October was driving around NH on a trip to the Balsams and then the drive down to VA last October by Reiner Cooney of Meister Restoration. He solved the problem of the cylinder head Temperature Sensor II malfunction.   It only has 30K miles and had been garaged by both the first and second owners.  It is original paint and hardly broken in. The picture was taken on a trip to the Balsam Resort for the Porsche Club weekend in Dixville Notch in Northern NH near the Canada border.

From: Registry Member Jon Preston, California / Taiwan; My 2nd Porsche was a 1968 912 Targa that I sold in 1980 to buy a 911. Although I liked the 911 (first and second ones) truth is I loved the 912. In Feburary of 1991 I decided to look for another early 912 Targa and found 912 #035, a early 1967 912 soft window Targa. This car has some interesting options like a 5 speed, factory installed Recaro sport seats, and 1967 4 1/2" 911S alloys. This car was a customer direct factory purchase and was imported as a new car by the buyer so I also have the original, hand typed and signed factory invoice showing the details of the car and the customs clearance papers showing the duty paid. No need for a COA. Along the way I rebuilt the engine, replaced the back window and had the sport seats rebuilt and recovered. This was not or is not a restoration and 90% of the interior is original. Now some 17 years later I still own the car and is a "forever" car.. Although the 912 lives in Calif. I live overseas (Taiwan) so I don't get to drive it nearly as often as I wish. Still original white, used for touring.

From: Matthew Anderson. '76 912E, Washington, USA; It was my best friend's grandfather's. The family was going to scrap it I volunteered to restore it. I have had it since May '08.
