- All proceeds benefit Pilot Dogs, Inc., a Columbus organization that trains dogs for the visually impaired.
- The show is in conjunction with the Germania Club's Oktoberfest, held on the 13th and 14th.

September 27, 2008, Lake Arrowhead, California - 6th Annual PCA Riverside Region Porsche Timeline Exhibition- 10:00AM to 3:00PM Entry Form (PDF)   "Erik Feldmann Board Member, Riverside Region: I am a 912 Registry Member.  I will be helping Bruce Herrington with the timeline setup and would really like to have some 912's, early to the E's on display. Thanks for you interest in the timeline and the PCA." A few years ago several 912 Registry members had a fun drive through the mountains to Lake Arrowhead, and then displayed their cars in this event!!  The Porsche Timeline display will feature cars which illustrate Porsche’s evolution over the years and contribute to telling the story of Porsche.  All interested people are invited to participate.  The exhibit includes placards which discuss the various model lines, and each car will have a data sheet which ties it into the overall scheme and which includes specific historical and other information of interest.  Volunteer docents will be available to discuss the cars with spectators and will also assist in providing security for the exhibition.  This year’s Porsche Timeline Exhibition will benefit the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research http://www.fpwr.org/ and all expenses incurred to participate should be tax-deductible. 

September 27-28, 2008, VIRginia International Raceway Fall Festival in Alton, Virginia - We are coordinating an informal get together at the VIRginia International Raceway Fall Festival in Alton, VA, September 27-28.  A few of us from the 912 Registry attend this annual Sportscar Vintage Racing Association event to support the vintage Porsches.  We thought it would be fun to see if we could generate some interest among other early Porsche owners in the area to join us to watch the races, talk vintage Porsche, and if we've enough interest, organize a drive. The event features the IMSA RS / 2.5 Challenge Reunion Race and, more importantly, the Klub Sport Porsche Challenge Series.  It is a lot of fun and VIR is a great facility that retains that '60s feel with open access to the pits and paddock, snack bar, barbecue pits.    VIRginia International Raceway is located in Southern Virginia between Danville and South Boston.  The event website is Event Website>.
