C-P 443 912 Registry Member Level!Steve Van Stockum California USA Still Original - copper brown metallic, Daily Driver.  I purchased the car in 1996. I've added Bosch fog lights, late style mirrors, and a CD player. Other than that, it's pretty much stock. I had it re-painted in July of 1997 (original color, very unique), some upholstery work on the front and rear seats at the same time, and the engine and trans rebuilt in 2003. It still has the L-Jetronic fuel injection, and runs GREAT. I put around 9,000 miles a year on it, and it's fun, fast, and trouble free. I purchased my first Porsche in high school in 1975 (a rusty '66 911), and it's been a love affair ever since! This is my 22nd Porsche ... my 23rd is a 1962 356B I'm currently in the process of restoring. C-P 027-9-2 Scott E. & Amy Schwan North Carolina USA India Red; car itself is in beautiful shape, has been garaged it's entire life & still has the original paint job & the paint is as bright as it could be; engine has had no major work done to it other than tune ups; starts right up & still gets about 22 mpg. Interior is in great shape, no cracks in the dash but the leather seat are starting to crack so in the near future new seat might be necessary.  My mom use to race the car on the weekends at an oval track in West Virginia, had the car's suspension lowered to the ground, so it sits very low; also equipped with an extra seatbelt required to race the car.  It is truly one of the best cars ever built in my mind & has well exceeded the price my mom paid for the car. Photo
C-P-s 908-9-2 John P Noonan Florida USA Built 06/76; Factory A/C, 15" Fuchs, slight rust under battery but not susp. pan, PO had engine fire so converted to dual Weber 40's with cam & Mark Stephans HP heads. All fire damage profesionally repaired & has 8 out of 10 paint job. After owning 3 914's I can't believe the lack of rust on this car. Plan on using 914 D-Jet with 96mm P/C's & the correct cam, along with updating the exterior to the '89 911 look, maybe even 17" & vented brakes.
C-P Pat Crane Colorado USA original bronze color, 300K ML,engine has been rebuilt once, excellent condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. I drive it daily during most of the year, except when snow is the dominant feature of our landscape.   I'll be glad to help out anyone who likes their 912E as much as we enjoy ours!
C-P-s Chris Smith California USA originally redish burgundy, painted black by previous owner. 314K ML Original options include Sunroof, Fuchs( 5.5x14), & A.C.; changed a couple of the gauges with 911 gauges; engine is stock except for Bursch headers, replaced the points with a mag. pick-up; advanced timing to get quite a bit more power w/o problems since compression is so low (7.6/1). Just having too much fun with the car. Photo

I bought it back from her this year and am in the process of restoring. It's rough around the edges and needs a lot of help, but it's still a great car. The car used to be silver but is now pewter. I'm looking to restore it to the original color next year. Anyone have advice on a good (relatively inexpensive) paint shop in the SF Bay Area? C-P-s   912 Registry Member Level!Rosemary Scott California  USA I love my Porsche! It is so much fun to drive and very reliable.  This car is my first ever Porsche. I'm already hooked! It is a very pretty forest green color with beige interior. The color is not the original color.  Chocolate brown is, but since the engine is going to be rebuilt, I'm going to let the paint stay as it is. The color is pretty & a good paint job.  This car has A/C, too.

C-P 266-9-3 M. Lee Hartman Arizona USA M. Lee Hartman's 912E in Arizona, USAI love this car; she is just wonderful..I have always loved Porsche since I was a young adult in New York. originally wanted a 356, but my father said no. When the 914 came out I thought it was a really nice car with the pop-out top and the 4 cylinder; again my father said no and bought me a Camaro. Oh well. When I was up in Boston being post educated I purchased an MGB. liked the car and purchased another, but it still was not a Porsche.  When I finally got to California in 1976,  I finally bought MY porsche. Originally purchased in Southern Calif. from Ogner Porsche. Two friends of mine bought 911's on the same day I purchased the 912e. I fell in love with the color (sea foam) and had no idea she would be with me forever. This car was driven everyday for a long time even though I had other autos. The 912E drives like a dream. The 4 banger gets great mileage;  30 plus on long trips and great mileage in town as well while the looks, questions and compliments I get are just wonderful.  A few years ago I decided to keep this car forever and decided to do a restoration with Jack Doverspike from Stuttgart Southwest in Tempe, Arizona. He is one of the finest Porsche gentlemen I have ever known. He has taken great care of me and my car and never taken advantage. I have restored the paint to original and only the front seats needed recovering. I have also added matching mirrors and pop-out rear windows for myself; other wise this car is just every thing I have ever wanted in a friend and auto. She has always gotten me where I am going and never let's me down; all the while looking great.   The car then looked so wonderful. I decided to rebuild the heads. I have never looked back. I did remove the air, because it was just a pain to keep up and I do not really use this car that much during the summer; but it would not make a difference here in Arizona with the temps over 100 plus. Driving around the rest of the year is what this car was made for. Air-cooled were never made to run in these temps anyway. My suv has two a/c's and the Porsche stays in the garage covered. I do run her up the beeline highway on early Sundays morning to keep her happy. I have driven this car for 30 plus years and 265,000 miles and have loved every mile. hopefully instead of a casket I can be buried in my car. my plates say MY JOI...
